The Human Microbiome
In every human being, and especially in the gut, dwells the microbiome: 100 trillion bacteria of several thousand species. This is about the same number of cells in the human body. This microbiome maintains health and performs beneficial functions such as food digestion, making vitamins and keeping bad organisms at bay.
In recent years, studies have shown that when the gut microbioa is disrupted, we become ill. Disrupted microbiota have been associated with a host of problems such as type 2 diabetes, obesity and malnutrition, atherosclerosis and heart disease, multiple sclerosis, asthma and eczema, liver disease, numerous diseases of the intestines including bowel cancer, depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism and alzheimer’s disease.
These studies also showed that health could be restored when “microbiome modulators” are used to re-balance disrupted gut microbiota.
The Human Microbiome theraupetics is one of the most exciting discoveries of this century. In fact, it is considered by the World Economic Forum to be one of the top 10 emerging technologies in 2014 and is poised to revolutionise the treatment of diseases in the coming years.

Phytosynbiotics
Phytosynbiotics are a new class of health supplements which promote healthy living and help cope with the demands of modern day living by balancing and stabilizing microbes in the gut.
Healing plants with known benefits are fermented with a community of lactic acid bacteria (“probiotics”). During fermentation, manno-oligosaccharides (“prebiotics”) are produced and the bio-availability of plant nutrients (“phyto”) is increased.
PHYTOSYNBIOTICS = PLANT NUTRIENTS + PREBIOTICS + PROBIOTICS
The plant nutrients are able to address specific conditions. The prebiotics and probiotics help to balance gut microbiota, mitigate the negative effects of the leaky gut, improve gut health and enhance general immunity. The prebiotics also protect the probiotics, ensuring their safe passage through the digestive tract. In addition, each phytosynbiotic product is formulated with different plant combinations to offers benefits for specific conditions.
This technology has been honed over a period of thirty years. During this period, our scientists have painstakingly accummulated knowhow and developed proprietary techniques to harness the strength of complex combinations of microbes. The end results are formulations of stable communities of food-grade microbes which are fast-acting and robust with ability to address specific conditions.
In essence, phytosynbiotics give you the best of fermented foods and probiotic supplements, as it combines both benefits in a capsule.
